Featuring refinements on the highly acclaimed BX5 monitors, the M-Audio BX5a Active Studio Monitors are the ideal wallet-friendly solution for high-end monitoring in your home studio. Kevlar 5" low frequency drivers produce amazingly full bass from a curved cone design with damped rubber surrounds and high-temperature voice coils. The tweeters are 1" natural silk domes that minimize ear fatigue while delivering crisp, accurate highs. Integral cab and electronic engineering work together to further enhance the bass response. 70W bi-amped power and expertly tuned crossovers.

These active, biamplified speakers deliver a wide, deep, and incredibly detailed sound field. You can actually hear distinct tonal qualities of an instrument's low end. High frequencies and midrange are clean and articulate. A low-frequency acoustic space control makes it easy to tailor the sound to your space. Internally powered by 2 smaller versions of Mackie's FR M-1200 power amp, delivering 150W for the lows, 100W for the highs.
